Ever needed some action shots of WW1 aircraft - or maybe
you were wishing colour film was more widely available earlier in the
20th century?
Well here's the next best thing to re-writing history
- a whole bunch of very rare and useful shots taken of action
at Ryder's museum. Uniforms - Flying Fields - WWI aircraft being started
up - strafing runs by German aircraft over Allied aircraft and tents -
WWI vehicles and ambulances. You name it they did it!
Some of these scenes are serious and others are comic
(like crashing into haybails and scattering the chickens! tossing bombs
over the side etc etc). I took several rolls of these photos, myself during
closed film shoots with a professional California movie crew of 46 people
and full prop and make-up department over a two week period.
